At Darling Downs Surgical Oncology, we understand that not every procedure requires a hospital stay. Our Minor Operations Clinic offers the convenience of specialist surgical care performed right here in our rooms, without the need for hospital admission or general anaesthetic.

Procedures are performed by Dr Peter O’Donohue, Specialist Breast and Melanoma Surgeon, in our fully equipped treatment room under local anaesthetic. This setting provides a safe, comfortable, and cost-effective alternative to hospital-based surgery.

Our Clinic is Ideal For:

• Removal of skin cancers and moles, including early melanoma (not needing sentinel lymph node biopsy). 
• Excision of cysts and small soft tissue lesions. 
• Biopsies and diagnostic procedures.

That’s why all outpatient procedures performed in our Minor Operations Clinic have a maximum out-of-pocket cost of just $250.00 (inclusive of a non-rebateable facility fee).  

We’re pleased to welcome both public and private patients from across the Darling Downs region, ensuring timely access to specialist surgical care close to home. A referral from your GP or specialist is required for all appointments. An initial consultation is required to determine suitability.
