Your Initial Appointment

Darling Downs Surgical Oncology welcomes new patient referrals for breast cancer and melanoma and prioritises urgent consultation requests. A valid letter of referral from your GP or Specialist is required. 

The duration of your consult with Dr O'Donohue will vary depending on the complexity of your condition and your individual needs.  Dr O'Donohue will discuss your medical history, medical investigations and perform physical examinations. 

Consultation Fees: 

Our team will be happy to advise you of the consultation fee upon booking your appointment. Consultation fees are payable in full on the day of your appointment. We can assist you in claiming the Medicare rebate on your behalf. For this, please ensure your bank details are up to date on my.gov.au to avoid any delays in receiving your rebate directly from Medicare.

Surgical Procedure Fees

After your consultation, our friendly team will step through our surgical booking process, including the date and time of your surgery and informed financial consent. You may receive an invoice from: 

• Dr Peter O'Donohue
• St Andrew's Toowoomba Hospital 
• Surgical assistants
• Anaesthetists
• Pathology and imaging providers
